Ethical deployment requires transparency about accuracy, intended use, and potential biases. A detector trained primarily on faces may underperform on medical images or satellite photos. Policies must also address privacy concerns and the potential chilling effect of automated flagging. Responsible organizations combine automated screening with audit logs, appeal processes, and periodic third-party evaluations to ensure tools serve users fairly and effectively.
